MULTI-AGENCY SAFEGUARDING ADULTS POLICY - UPDATED FEBRUARY 2017
MULTI-AGENCY SAFEGUARDING ADULTS PROCEDURES FOR THE PROTECTION OF ADULTS WITH CARE AND SUPPORT NEEDS IN BOURNEMOUTH & POOLE - UPDATED AUGUST 2018
The Bournemouth and Poole Safeguarding Adults Board together with the Dorset Safeguarding Adults Board have reviewed and rewritten the Safeguarding Adults Policy and Procedures to ensure that these are compliant with the Care Act 2014, and the associated Care Act guidance and 2015 update. Changes have been made to the terminology and the way in which agencies will respond when a concern is raised with the key principle of putting the individual at the centre of any safeguarding intervention.
Please note there are now two separate documents and hyperlinks have been introduced to the document to give ease of reference. We actively encourage people to use the electronic versions so please only print copies where necessary. We will endeavour to keep this website up to date as and when amended versions are available:
Multi-Agency Safeguarding Adults Policy
Multi-Agency Safeguarding Adults Procedures
Also attached are documents including new Multi-Agency Risk Management (MARM) Guidance and additional forms which may be useful to our partners and providers:

We have a new Communication Strategy. The purpose of our strategy is to publicise our work and to ensure that everyone who needs to about safeguarding adults is informed. The Bournemouth and Poole Safeguarding Adult Board makes sure that organisations work together so that safeguarding work is effective, responsive and co-ordinated. This work should mean that adults at risk in Bournemouth and Poole have greater protection from harm and abuse.
